Kochi-Bengaluru flight ticket at just Rs 1606; Air India's flash sale surprise

MUMBAI: Air India Express has floated an offer that would gape many eyes. The company has started a flash ticket sale starting at Rs 1606. Air tickets will be available at the offer price on selected sectors for travel from November 1 to December 10. Those who book before October 27 will get tickets at the offer price. Tickets should be booked directly from the Air India Express website.

Those who book through the website can also get tickets at Xpress Lite fares starting at Rs 1,456. Tickets are available at this rate on routes including Kochi-Bengaluru, Chennai-Bengaluru routes, Guwahati-Agartala, Vijayawada-Hyderabad.

Passengers travelling on Xpress lite fares without check-in baggage will get 3 kg additional cabin baggage free of charge if pre-booked through the Air India website. Special offers have also been announced for loyalty members of Air India Express. These members shall receive gourmet meals, seats and priority services at a 25 per cent discount. Air India Express has prepared special offers for senior citizens, students, healthcare workers, soldiers and their dependents as part of the flash sale.

For those with excess luggage, only 1000 rupees will be charged for 15 kg check-in baggage on domestic flights and 1300 rupees for 20 kg on international flights. Loyalty members on the Air India Express website can book tickets at a 50 per cent discount in the Express Biz category, which separates one seat from another by 58 inches, allowing comfy solitude for the passenger.
