Monsoon session of Parliament from July 21 to August 12; Operation Sindoor to be discussed

NEW DELHI: Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju announced that the monsoon session of Parliament will start from July 21 to August 12. The dates were recommended by the Cabinet Committee on Parliamentary Affairs, chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

It has not been clarified whether a special session will be called before that to discuss Operation Sindoor. There were earlier reports about a one-day special session being planned on June 16 but the government has not confirmed this. The issue regarding Operation Sindoor is likely to be discussed during the upcoming monsoon session of parliament.

There are indications that a resolution to impeach former Delhi High Court Justice Yashwant Varma will be presented in the session.
