NEW DELHI: Discussions between the high command representatives and the Congress leaders from Kerala are progressing at the AICC headquarters. Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal are participating in the meeting representing the AICC. There were reports that the change in the position of the KPCC president would be discussed. However, the leaders say that there will be no such discussion.

Many leaders say that this is the only special thing about the high command meeting is that it is with leaders from a state where elections are close. Benny Behanan said that he believes that there will be no discussion related to changing the KPCC president in the meeting.

Adoor Prakash and Benny Behanan are among the names being considered in case of a change in the position of the KPCC president. Leaders including K Muraleedharan are in favor of K Sudhakaran continuing. However, Muraleedharan said that he will accept the decision of the high command no matter what. Opposition leader VD Satheesan had clarified the other day that no discussion took place in Kerala or Delhi about changing the KPCC president.

'Meetings of states including Bihar, Bengal and Assam, where elections are going to be held, are being held in Delhi. Leaders from Kerala were also called as part of this. There is no dispute among us. The party and the front are preparing for the local body elections. The UDF gained in the local body by-elections,' said Satheesan.
