MUMBAI: Former Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde confirmed that a decision regarding the new chief minister of Maharashtra will be made at today's BJP Legislative Party meeting.
"Discussions are ongoing. All decisions will be made by consensus between Shiv Sena, BJP, and NCP. There is no difference of opinion in the Mahayuti alliance. This is the government of the people." said Eknath Shinde.
Earlier on Sunday, the Mahayuti leaders held talks with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi to finalize the formation of the government. The silence from Shinde faction leaders who reached Mumbai after the discussion in Delhi paved the way for many rumours.
Shinde faction leader Uday Samant had revealed that Eknath Shinde returned to his village of Satara due to ill health.
