KOCHI: The CBI’s charge sheet has made explosive allegations against the mother of the girls dead in the Walayar case. The CBI has alleged in the charge sheet that the girls' mother had sexual relations with the first accused and that she had sex in front of her children. This was reported by ‘The Hindu’.

Despite knowing that the first accused had sexually abused her elder daughter, she abetted the first accused to abuse her younger daughter also. She entertained the accused to come home with liquor. Her husband also knew this, the CBI asserted this in the charge sheet filed in the court two weeks ago.

According to the charge sheet, the mother had witnessed the first accused sexually abusing her elder daughter in April 2016. Two weeks later, the father also witnessed the same incident. Yet, the parents did not reveal about it to the police. They were in constant touch with the accused. Even after the death of the elder daughter, the couple used to send their younger daughter to the house of the accused. The CBI has pointed in the charge sheet that the younger one who was close to her sister, knew that she was raped by the accused.

The elder girl was found hanging in her house on January 13 in 2017 and the younger on March 4 in the same year. The children were aged 13 and 9.

The case was handed over to the CBI after the trial court acquitted all the accused in the case. Th girls’ mother staged protests seeking justice for her children. She had also tonsured her head against the delay in delivering justice.
