Police custody for drunk ruckus; Shahid burns pregnant partner with ironbox

KOZHIKODE: A complaint has been filed that an eight-month pregnant woman was burnt with an iron box. The incident took place in Kodenchery, Kozhikode. The woman's legs and chest were burned. Shahid Rahman, a native of Peruvilli, brutally assaulted his pregnant partner. It is learnt that he is a drug addict.

The woman, who is undergoing treatment at Kodenchery Hospital, will be shifted to the Medical College. Shahid was taken into custody by the police yesterday for creating a ruckus while drunk. He attacked his partner when he came home after he was released.
