Jharkhand native woman arrested in Piravom with 9.1 grams of MDMA

KOCHI: The Excise Department has arrested a woman with 9.1 grams of MDMA during an inspection in Piravom. The arrested person has been identified as Dashmi Nagi (23), a native of Bano, Jharkhand. The arrest was carried out by a team led by Piravom Excise Inspector V. Vijaya Rashmi. On Friday night, the Excise team spotted the woman acting suspiciously at a bus stop near St. Gregorios Chapel in Chendikkandam, Pampakuda. Upon inspecting her bag, officials found synthetic drugs worth lakhs of rupees in the open market.

According to officials, Dashmi brought the drugs to sell to local youth and college students. In addition to the MDMA, 5 grams of ganja (cannabis) were also recovered from her. The investigation team included K.M. Robi, K.K. Arun, A.K. Jayadevan, M.N. Anilkumar, M.M. Nandu, T.K. Soumya, Tinu George, and Aneesh Kumar.
