Shahjahan murder case: All eight accused taken into custody, accused went to bar after murder

PALAKKAD: Police have nabbed all the accused in the murder of CPM activist Shahjahan in Palakkad. Six culprits, who were on the run, were taken into custody today. Two people were nabbed on Tuesday morning. The arrest of the accused will be registered on Wednesday, the police said. The first accused Sabareesh, the second accused Anish, the fourth accused Sivarajan, the sixth accused Sujeesh, the seventh accused Sajeesh and the eighth accused Vishnu were taken into custody from Malappuram.

Police had nabbed the third accused, Naveen from Pattambi and the sixth accused Siddharth from Pollachi on Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, a CCTV footage has surfaced in which the accused were seen gathering at a bar after the murder. Three accused reached the bar at 9.50. They were in the bar till 10.20. The police have recorded the statement of the bar employees.
