Women agents for witch doctor Abdurahman; attempt to rape housewife in hotel room under the guise of treatment

KUNNAMANGALAM: An attempt was made to rape a housewife by taking her to a hotel under the guise of witchcraft treatment. Kundamangalam police arrested Abdur Rahman (32) of Siddiquia mansil Nellichuvad Trippanachi Kavanoor Malappuram. The accused was taken into custody from his house.

On December 9, the housewife came to see the witch doctor at his house. He took the housewife to the hotel by promising to cure the disease. After telling her not to be afraid, the housewife was taken to a lodge in Madavoor.

The accused had taken another woman with her so that the housewife would not get suspicious while being taken to the lodge. After reaching the lodge, the woman who was with her was taken to another room and the accused took the housewife to another room on the pretext of treatment.

The complaint received by the police is that Abdurahman tried to molest the housewife here. A POCSO case is pending against him for molesting a minor girl in Karipur in 2019.

The police say that there are women working as agents to bring people to Abdurahman for witchcraft treatment. The police are preparing for further investigation about the group.
