Youth stabbed to death by his relative in Idukki; accused taken into custody

IDUKKI: A youth was stabbed to death at Churulippathal in Kanjikuzhy, Michael City. The dead is Rajan aged 26, son of Pappachan of Kallumalikkal House. The incident happened last night at 10 pm. The Kanjikuzhy police have arrested Rajan’s relative and neighbour Anoop.

Initial reports say family issues led to the murder. The locals said there were verbal disputes between the two. A verbal dispute broke out between the two last night. Anoop stabbed him in a sudden fit of rage.

The accused Anoop is nephew of Rajan’s father. Anoop, who fled from the place after committing the crime, was caught early Friday morning. The body of Rajan is presently in Idukki Medical College Hospital. The body will be handed over to his relatives after the postmortem.
