Accused in Kannur Urban Nidhi investment fraud case found hanging

KANNUR: The accused in the Kannur Urban Nidhi (KUN) money laundering case was found dead. The deceased has been identified as Shaiju, a native of Kizhuthalli, Kannur. Shaiju was found hanging. The body has been shifted for postmortem. The police had registered several cases in the Urban Nidhi investment fraud, which was based in Thavakkara in Kannur city. More than fifty cases of investment fraud worth crores were in the name of Shaiju, who was also a branch manager. Shaiju was released on bail every time a case came up.
