THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Bailin Das, who was arrested for brutally a young woman lawyer, has been granted conditional bail. He was granted bail by the Thiruvananthapuram Judicial First Class Magistrate Court.
The prosecution argued that since all the witnesses in the case are Bailin Das's employees, there is a high possibility of the accused influencing them. However, the court granted bail with strict conditions, including a directive that Bailin must not interfere in the case. During the hearing, Bailin informed the court that he was willing to cooperate with the investigation and fully comply with any conditions imposed. Currently, Bailin Das is lodged at the Poojappura District Jail.
JV Shyamili, a young lawyer, was violently attacked by senior lawyer Bailin Das last Friday. After she filed a police complaint, Bailin went into hiding and was arrested three days later. Shyamili stated that he slapped her multiple times and twisted her arm. Despite her collapsing to the floor, no one in the office stepped in to assist her. She also disclosed that this wasn't the first time—Bailin had previously assaulted her in his office while she was pregnant.
