THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: More details in the case against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's chief principal secretary K M Abraham have emerged. The CBI has registered a case under sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The CBI is investigating details of his property earned from 2003 to December 2015, including the shopping complex in Kollam. The FIR said that there is prima facie evidence against Abraham.

The Mumbai apartment worth crores, the shopping complex in Kollam worth Rs 8 crore, and the apartment in Thiruvananthapuram are alleged to be amassed illegally. The case was initially investigated by the state vigilance. Jacob Thomas was the vigilance director at that time. Abraham was given a clean chit after he stepped down from that post.

Public activist Jomon Puthenpurackal had approached the high court seeking a CBI investigation into the incident. The CBI took over the case after the high court ordered an investigation.
