CPM leader injured in clash after Moidheen's vehicle not given way to pass

KUNNAMKULAM: A CPM leader and a youth from Kecheri were injured in a clash after AC Moidheen MLA's vehicle wasn't given way to move forward. CPM leader and former Kunnamkulam Municipal Corporation Chairman PG Jayaprakash and Kecheri resident Feroze Mansalil Muhammad Raees were injured.

The incident happened at 11 am on Wednesday. The man, who had come to see the doctor with his mother at the private clinic in front of the Kunnamkulam Municipal Corporation, parked the vehicle on the road passing in front of the party office. At this time, the MLA's vehicle reached back. As the vehicle could not pass, the MLA got out of the vehicle and asked the youth to move the vehicle. The MLA walked to the party office. A conflict broke out between the party workers who came after. Then the man was taken into custody under the leadership of Kunnamkulam Station House Officer UK Shahjahan. Both the injured sought treatment at the Kunnamkulam Taluk Hospital. Both said that they will file a police complaint.
