Devaswom Board dissolves advisory panel for singing RSS Gana Geetham in temple

KOLLAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Devaswom Board has dissolved the advisory committee of Kottukal Manjippuzha Temple. The action was taken for singing the RSS Gana Geetham during a ganamela held in connection with the temple festival and for erecting flag poles of a political and communal organization in the temple premises.

The Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) took action after finding that the temple advisory committee had committed serious lapses in both the incidents. The order is in force strictly prohibiting the erection of flag poles of political and communal organizations in the temples and premises under the TDB and the use of temples for the propagation of the ideology of political community organizations. The Travancore Devaswom Board also informed that strict action will be taken against anyone who violates this order.
