KOCHI: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has stopped today’s interrogation of M K Kannan, the president of Thrissur district cooperative bank and CPM state committee member, in the Karuvannur bank fraud case. He came out of the ED office at 3.30 pm. He told the media that the interrogation was amicable and that he would come if summoned again. When asked whether he has any physical issues, he said nothing is wrong and that he is healthy.
However, the ED officials said Kannan did not cooperate with them during the interrogation and when asked questions, he said that he has shivering. The officials clarified that after he answered shivering to all questions, it was clear that there was no point in questioning him anymore and so released him. The ED also hinted that there is a lot of evidence against Kannan and that he will be questioned again soon.
Kannan reached the ED office for questioning this morning. He also visited Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan before leaving for the interrogation.
