Granny dies while trying to rescue three-year-old grandson from drowning 

KOZHIKODE: A 48-year-old woman met with a tragic end while trying to rescue her grandson, who fell into a well. The incident happened at Koduvally in Kozhikode. Ramla, wife of Muhammed Koya of Kizhakkoth Parappara Aayikottil, died while trying to rescue her son’s child, who fell into the well while playing.

The child fell into the well last evening. She jumped into the well to save him. When the neighbors rushed to the spot hearing the screams, the child was found holding the pipe in the well. They first took the child out. Ramla was found dead in the well. The body was taken out by the fire force from Narikkuni. She leaves behind her children Abdul Aziz and Nusrat Beevi.
