Haven't encroached even an inch of land, all this is made with labour: Mathew Kuzhalnadan

IDUKKI: Congress MLA Mathew Kuzhalnadan onsaid he has not acquired even an inch of land illegally. The district collector had given permission to take over the resort land belonging to Kuzhalnadan at Chinnakkanal following the report of the revenue department that there was 50 cents of encroached land.

"After purchasing the property, not even an inch of land has been encroached upon by building a wall. That land has no wall. The existing compound wall was strengthened. I don't know whether this is said as encroachment. I will not back down if they say that 50 acres will be seized. If you think that I will back down after making threats like this, it is a misunderstanding," Kuzhalnadan said.

"It is not wealth made by cheating or taking bribes from anyone. We are farmers traditionally. All this is made with labour. Don't try to question a farmer's self-esteem. I've said from the beginning that I will cooperate with any legal action. The purchased land has not been measured. Nothing more than what was purchased was added to it. I bought the land after getting the state certificate from the government," Kuzhalnadan told the media.
