There is no change in the change in school timings, said General Education and Labour Minister V Sivankutty. 'The decision in this regard was taken as per the High Court's directive. Government ready to discuss with anyone to convince them of the issues in this regard,' the minister said. The minister was speaking to reporters in Kannur.

'The Governor has faced a setback through the High Court verdict. In this situation, the Governor should step aside. The reason for the administrative stagnation in the university is the Governor. The decisions taken by those appointed by the Governor should be reviewed. The subject of recovering their salaries should be considered in the context of the High Court verdict. The power in the university lies with the syndicate. Despite understanding this, the Governor has taken steps to saffronize the universities.'

"Malpractices like making students wash teachers' feet will not be allowed in schools. This is an incident that should not happen in modern Kerala. Therefore, the Director of the General Education Department is investigating the matter. According to Section 171 of the Right to Education Act, such actions fall under the ambit of mental harassment. According to the service rules, those who do such things will have to face disciplinary action," the minister said.
