Junior artist accuses Baburaj of sexual abuse, many more fall prey

KOCHI: After the release of the Hema Committee report, more sexual allegations rock the Malayalam film industry. Senior and junior actors of the industry came forward with allegations of sexual assaults against the big stars of the film industry. A junior artist stepped in with sexual allegations against actor Baburaj. She alleged that he invited her to his house in Aluva and sexually abused her after promising roles in films. He offered me a room in his house to take rest. She alleged that he misbehaved with her and then sexually abused her in that room.

‘I saw him as a brother. I am from an economically backward family and came with a lot of film dreams. He promised me roles and invited to his house in Aluva. He told me that there are people associated with films at home and after talking to them, would offer a suitable role.

Baburaj entered the room and sexually abused me. I was able to leave the house only the next day. She said that he had exploited other women in the same manner. As they are married and leading a family life, they are not able to expose anything. Producers have also contacted her offering her a role with Dulquer Salman. Did not reveal all these to anybody knowing that nothing is going to happen.
