KOZHIKODE: M K Raghavan MP said the family of Arjun, who went missing in the landslide in Shirur, is satisfied with the rescue operations to find him. While talking to the media after meeting his family, he said the Karnataka government has done everything possible and the difficulty is the weather and the strong currents in the Gangavali river.

‘Hope to lift the cabin of the lorry by tomorrow. The navy could not go down the river this morning due to the currents. Human presence has not been detected in the thermal scanning so far,' he said.

Meantime, the mission team also started checking the possibility of searching the Gangavali river. An attempt is made to enter the river from the mound formed in the middle of the river. Local fishermen from Kundapur have also joined the mission team.

Minister P A Mohammad Riyas said the collector has informed that the floating platform will be brought from Rajasthan to facilitate the search. He stated that the Kerala government has requested to appoint more skilled personnel of the navy and the search will be done with the cooperation of the fishermen. All possible efforts will be made to proceed. Riyas also informed that Kerala has requested to bring experts from other naval bases.
