THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: With the state recording a decline in test positivity rate (TPR), the Kerala government is likely to announce more lockdown restrictions. The decision is expected to be taken at a review meeting chaired by the Chief Minister tomorrow.
Kerala recorded a TPR of 9.63 on Monday. Earlier, the Chief Minister had said that the government would consider granting relaxations in the event of a shortfall in the current TPR. There are only 16 places in the state with test positive rates above 30. The TPR rate has not increased in the areas where relaxations have been granted for the last one week. Therefore, health experts say there is little concern about the spread of the disease.
At present, more relaxations are available in places that come under the A and B categories. Similar relaxations may be announced in more places tomorrow.
