Low fuel supply even after payment, KSRTC continues to cut down services

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Although diesel dues have been paid off to ensure supply in KSRTC, many services are still getting curtailed due to improper fuel distribution.

It takes time to get the distribution on track. The loads that are arriving are being assigned to main depots. The buses in small depos are instructed to refuel at major depots. This caused rush and made buses wait.

The fuel was not available in depots from August 1 to 10 due to financial crisis. KSRTC overcome the crisis by reducing the services and refueling from private pumps. The insufficient supply of fuel created a shortage.

In Thiruvananthapuram, the fuel crisis is being faced in city limits, Vizhinjam, Poovar, Parassala, Peroorkada, Vikas Bhavan and Vellarada. These buses are refueled from Thampanoor central depot.
