Man dies after accidentally consuming acid mistaking it for water

PALAKKAD: A man died after accidentally consuming acid mistaking it for water. He died while undergoing treatment. The incident happened at Vengasseri in Palakkad’s Ottappalam. The dead is Radhakrishnan of Ambalapara Vengasseri.

His relatives said Radhakrishnan drank the acid on November 5 kept in the bottle of Seven Up without knowing that it was acid. He was rushed to a private hospital in Ottappalam and then to EMS Hospital in Perinthalmanna. He died last night while undergoing treatment at the Thrissur Medical College.

Radhakrishnan, who runs an electronics repair shop, had stored the acid for his work, said his relatives.
