Man killed in elephant attack at Mundur in Palakkad 

PALAKKAD: Another elephant has claimed the life of one more in the state. The dead is Kumar (61) of Njarakode at Mundur in Palakkad. The incident happened Thursday morning at 3.30 am. The elephant attacked him near his house and it is still in the residential area.

Meantime, a Malayali was killed in a wild elephant attack at Gudalur in Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu. The dead is Aaru living in Devarshola. The elephant attacked him while he was returning home after work at around 9 pm last night. Forest department officials reached the spot after locals informed them. However, the locals did not allow to shift the body. They protested even late at night. Another Malayali was killed last night in wild elephant attack.
