KOCHI: The female vlogger who had earlier filed a complaint of harassment against Savad, who was arrested in a sexual assault case, has come forward again. The vlogger said that if the law had been stronger, there would not have been another victim and that the mental distress she experienced at that time was severe.
Savad had sexually assaulted the vlogger in a KSRTC bus in Nedumbassery in 2023 and was arrested in the incident. However, he was later released on bail. The All Kerala Men's Association welcomed Savad with a garland when he came out of jail. The vlogger faced massive cyberattacks on social media. Savad was arrested again yesterday on a complaint filed by another woman alleging that Savad had sexually assaulted her on a KSRTC bus to Malappuram last week.
'So there is another victim now? He, the victim and I, the person who sexually assaulted him. That's how it was portrayed that day. If people had believed what I said, this would not have happened. If the law had been stronger, Savad would not have been able to walk around like this. There would not have been other victims. There are many more victims. Many people had sent me messages. I am a victim of harassment. I do not need to hide my face. Savad should not come out again. Many things happened that day. I was mentally stressed. I was afraid to open Instagram that day. People were calling me 'zip'. That incident has been a thing that has troubled me mentally. Justice has been served. If I had gotten justice then, another girl would not be sitting there thinking that she was a victim of harassment today,' the vlogger said.
