Mass resignation at K R Narayanan film institute after student strike called off; 8 staff including dean submitted resignation

KOTTAYAM: Mass resignation of staff and teachers at K R Narayanan film institute. 8 staff including Chandramohan, dean of the institute has resigned. The ones who resigned had taken the side of director Shankar Mohan who had recently resigned. Shankar Mohan had submitted his resignation by 18th. The statement that the teachers are substandard cannot be accepted, said the ones who resigned.

The strike which was going on for the past 50 days had been called off after the meeting with minister R Bindu. The strike was called off after accepting in writing the demands raised by the students. The minister had updated that the new director will be posted immediately and an expert committee will be posted to enquire about the complaints regarding academics.
