Minor girl missing from Kollam found at Tirur railway station

KOLLAM: Thirteen-year-old Fathima, who went missing from Kunnicode in the district was found at Tirur railway station. The girl herself called home from a phone in the morning and informed them. Fathima's brother is studying in Tirur and she had gone there.

Fathima's father said that her daughter had called from the phone of a woman passenger. He added that the child is safe and the RPF were informed. Steps have been taken to bring her home.


The child was missing since 2 pm yesterday. The family had filed a complaint with the police at 6:30 pm. It is believed that Fathima left home after her mother scolded her. Fathima had informed her friend about the fight with her mother. The police and relatives had conducted searches at places including Kollam railway station. In between this, the child called home.
