Deputy Mayor GS Asha Nath is still not out of the euphoria after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public event organised at Putharikandam Maidan. Asha Nath wrote on Facebook that she saw in PM Modi not power, but humanity, culture and the very soul of India. The photos of the meeting went viral after the Prime Minister bowed down to Asha Nath after she did the same gesture to touch the leader’s feet in reverence.

Deputy Mayor GS Asha Nath:

This is not just a photo…

A moment that is etched in my soul

When I respectfully touched his feet,

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji, who stands at the height of power, returned the same gesture to touch my feet.… At that moment, I forgot myself and my eyes welled up.

The tears were of pride and gratitude.

What I saw in this leader was not power, but a man who imbibed India’s culture and the very soul of the nation.

This moment will forever remain a blessing and an inspiration in my life.

Humility is the true glory. This joy cannot be contained in words.
