Narrow escape for CPM leader, family as car catches fire

AROOR: A car carrying a CPM leader and his family caught fire. The car carrying CPM state committee member C B Chandrababu and his family has been gutted in the fire. The accident happened near Kannukulangara Temple at Eramalloor on the national highway.

The accident happened when Chandrababu and his family were returning after attending a function at his relative’s house. Seeing smoke emanating from the car, the people stopped the vehicle. Soon after those in the car got out, the car was completely gutted in the fire. KSEB’s transformer was near the spot. A major tragedy was averted as the transformer was switched off immediately. The fire force arrived and doused the flames.
