Nine-year-old dies in Malappuram after getting stuck in remote-controlled gate

MALAPPURAM: In a tragic incident, a nine-year-old boy died after he got stuck in the remote-controlled gate of the neighbouring house. The incident took place in Tirur, Malappuram. The deceased has been identified as Muhammed Sinan, son of Vailathur native Abdul Ghafoor and Sajila.

The accident took place while the boy was going to the neighbour's house by passing through the gate next to his house. The child got stuck in the gate as it suddenly closed. No one was home at the time. Although the seriously injured boy was taken to a private hospital in Kottakkal, his life could not be saved.

It was the locals who rushed the boy to the hospital. The body is currently kept at the Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri. It will be handed over to his family tomorrow after the postmortem.
