KOTTAYAM: The Catholic Church mouthpiece criticized PC George and his son Sean George, who had sharply criticized the Catholic Church the day after the elections. The mouthpiece says that no matter what political opportunist comes forward with a folded mundu threatening to not to speak out about the FCRA, the church will not give in and that the threats of the government, such as 'we will say it again, we are just torerating you out of politeness, stay quiet, we will show you', are neither the first nor the last in history. There is indirect criticism against PC George and his son in an editorial criticizing US President Donald Trump, who criticized the Pope.

'The atrocities of global terrorism and dictatorships are real. But resistance to them is not a blank check for any order. Don't forget that whether the threat is from the war-mongering Trump or the local political crooks in Kerala who are agents of communalism, the Pope condemns not only America's war, but all wars.

"Whether the dictators are communists, fascists, Nazis, communalists, or political beggars in Kerala, the same question is repeated. When mob trials, repression, and the necessary laws are repeated, those affected by it are expected to remain silent. It is not even discussed in Parliament. Instead, 'We will implement it, who are you to ask?, how many of you are there?, just a small percentage right?... The government is only carrying you for the sake of decency, be quiet, we will show you...' and so on. This threat is neither the first nor the last in history," the editorial says.

As long as there are examples of laws passed saying that they are for everyone but only targeting minorities, this will be the same position, no matter what political opportunist comes with a folded mundu threatening not to talk about FCRA. We will have to say more. Politics should not be stolen by corrupt people,' the editorial also says.

Yesterday, NDA candidates from Poonjar and Pala constituencies, PC George and Sean George, came out strongly criticizing the leadership of the Catholic Church. "The Bishop of Kanjirappally called all the monasteries and told them to vote for the UDF. Was this the right thing to do? What right does he have to say that? If any of the candidates in Poonjar have done anything good for the church, it is me. What do these shameless people get for saying that people should vote for the UDF? They will have to reject the church and the bishops. They are ignorant and uninformed. The FCRA bill will come. Those who oppose it can go home. What is wrong with giving an account of receiving money from abroad? Yet, thinking that it is the Catholic Church and a Christian, Amit Shah told the church, there is no problem, we can approve whatever account they give. Still, why are these people barking?" was PC George's criticism. Excessive criticism has also impacted the BJP.
