PATHANAMTHITTA: The Rashtrapati Bhavan has informed the state government's protocol officer that President Draupadi Murmu will not visit Sabarimala for the Edavamasa puja. The Rashtrapati Bhavan has asked for information on which days the nada will be opened in the coming months. There are indications that the President may visit Sabarimala before the start of the next Mandalakala pilgrimage.

It was earlier announced that the President would visit Sabarimala with Irumudikettu on the 18th and 19th of this month. Accordingly, preparations had begun at Sannidhanam and Pampa. The visit was postponed in the backdrop of the India-Pakistan tension. Yesterday, news was circulating that the President would arrive on the 19th of this month as the tension had eased. The rumors came to an end after the official announcement that she would not be coming. The Sabarimala temple will open at 4 pm today for the Edava month puja. It will close at 10 pm on the 19th.
