Rajya Sabha elections: Victory for Jose K Mani

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: LDF candidate Jose K Mani has emerged as the winner in the Rajya Sabha by-election. Out of the total 137 votes polled, Jose K Mani got 96 votes and his opponent Sooranad Rajasekharan of the UDF got 40 votes. 3 people did not vote due to ill-health.

Voting began at 9 a.m in the Assembly building. The Chief Minister and the Leader of the Opposition cast their votes in the morning.
