Slight improvement in health condition of VS, says son Arun Kumar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a slight improvement in the health condition of former chief minister and senior CPM leader V S Achuthanandan, undergoing treatment in the hospital following a heart attack, said his son V A Arun Kumar. He shared a note about his father's health condition via a Facebook post. ‘A slight improvement is seen in my father's health condition. He is responding to medicines. We are very confident,’ his post said.

VS was admitted to the hospital last Monday following a heart attack. VS is under the observation of cardiology, nephrology and neurology specialists. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, CPM state secretary M V Govindan and other party leaders including opposition leader VD Satheesan had visited the hospital to inquire about his health.
