THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: There is a warning of heatwave in various districts of the state. Heatwave is likely in isolated places in Kasaragod and Kannur. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has also informed that the temperature is likely to rise by two degrees Celsius to four degrees Celsius above normal in isolated places in Kerala today.

Due to high temperature and humid air, there is a possibility of high and uncomfortable atmospheric conditions. Meantime, the IMD has also informed that there is a possibility of rain in the coming days to relieve the heat. A yellow alert has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta on Friday and in Idukki and Pathanamthitta on Saturday due to the possibility of rain.
