KOCHI: Three people were arrested for spreading the pirated version of Mohanlal’s latest film ‘Thudarum’. The person who watched the movie on the train was arrested in Thrissur, while another who played the movie in a tourist bus was arrested in Pathanamthitta. Another person who watched the movie through his mobile phone in a bus was arrested in Malappuram.

The action was taken based on a complaint filed by the film's producer, Renjith, with the Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Police. The complaint was filed along with visuals of the 'Thudarum' being played on a tourist bus.

The pirated version of the movie was taken down from the internet. The pirated version was found to have been recorded from a theatre. It was a lady on a bus who saw the film being played inside another bus at a traffic signal. She then furtively recorded the video, which went viral on the internet.
