Two teachers from Kerala bag prestigious National Teachers' Awards

NEW DELHI: The National Teachers’ Awards have been announced, and two teachers from Kerala have been selected. In the school category, M.S. Kishore Kumar, a teacher at Kallara Government Vocational Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram, has been chosen. In higher education, the award goes to B.S. Manoj, Senior Professor and Associate Dean at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.

From Lakshadweep, S. Ibrahim, headmaster of Andrott Government Junior Basic School, has also been selected. The Union Ministry of Education gives the awards in connection with Teachers’ Day. President Droupadi Murmu will present the awards at a ceremony in Delhi on September 5, Teachers’ Day.
