THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Muslim League leader KM Shaji has again made allegations about the death of CPM leader PK Kunjananthan. He alleged that a VVIP visited Kannur Central Jail before Kunjananthan, who was accused in the TP murder case, got food poisoning.
"Earlier, when I said that there was mystery in the death of Kunjananthan, CPM state secretary MV Govindan said that he would file a case against me. If you dare, file a case. I am challenging the party secretary," Shaji said.
Shaji said that two accused in the TP murder case have died but it is not clear how they died. Shaji had come forward alleging that Kunjananthan's death was mysterious earlier as well. KM Shaji had expressed his suspicion that Kunjananthan was killed by poisoning to prevent shocking truths related to TP's murder from coming out. At that time, Kunjananthan's daughter had responded that Shaji's accusation was false.
PK Kunjananthan was the 13th accused in the murder case of RMP leader TP Chandrasekaran. He was sentenced to life imprisonment. Kunjananthan's stomach infection worsened rapidly and he died in Thiruvananthapuram while on parole.
