THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The cost of each visit by the Prime Minister to Kerala is borne by the state governemnt and his visit to campaign for the Lok Sabha elections is no different. The cost of Narendra Modi's two visits to Kerala for election campaign is Rs 1 crore. The state government has allocated half the amount now.
The General Administration Department has issued an order allocating Rs 50 lakh to the Tourism Department. The Prime Minister arrived in Kerala on April 14. He has come to participate in campaign meetings in Thrissur and Thiruvananthapuram.
As part of the election campaign in Alathur constituency, Modi attended the general meeting held at Cheruvathur Ground in Kunnamkulam and Kattakkada as part of the campaigns in Attingal and Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha constituencies.
Narendra Modi is visiting Kerala for the second time after announcing the election. The Prime Minister visited Palakkad and Pathanamthitta last month.
