39-year-old Subilal is the younger of the two children of B Vasudevan and Suprabha, a native of Thazhava, Karunagappally. He was born with a bone-crushing disease. His mind was as not cooperating as his body. Yet he completed his tenth grade from Thodiyur Government Higher Secondary School and his plus two from Thazhava Government Higher Secondary School. His sister Sumi was always his shadow. After completing his studies, he started a lottery business. He also ran a mobile phone shop once. Now he is a temporary data entry operator at the Thazhava Family Health Center.
The wedding story
Subilal's family had built a house with the money allocated by the panchayat. Friends who came to the housewarming took a video of Subilal and posted it on social media. It went viral. Many people came to befriend him. Among them, Jiji, a teacher, became his close friend. Jiji started searching for a potential bride for her friend. She told her friend Shanthini also about this. 'If you hold close as a companion, you will be filled with shade' - Jiji sent these words designed by Subilal on the computer to Shanthini. Shanthini was happy. Shanthini (33) is the daughter of the late Gopalan, a native of Thevalakkara Kovoor. The wedding took place at the Oachira Parabrahma Temple.
