When does Ramadan fast begin? Hijra Committee office bearers with announcement

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Hijra Committee office bearers announced in a press conference that the Ramadan fast will begin on Saturday. Eid-al-Fitr will be celebrated on March 30 after completing the 29-day fast. Sha'ban 30 will be completed on February 28. That is the new moon that marks the end of the lunar month. The next day will be Ramadan 1. Eidgahs will also be prepared on Eid-al-Fitr under the auspices of the Hijra Committee. Chairman Azhikode Zainuddin Maulavi, General Secretary P.S. Shamsuddin and former state president M.E. Abdurahman participated in the press conference.
