Youth arrested for mixing poison in friend’s black tea 

MALAPPURAM: A youth has been arrested for mixing poison in black tea to kill his friend. The arrested is Ajay of Kalapattukunnu in Malappuram. He tried to kill Sundaran of Karad by mixing poison. Sundaran is a tapping worker. The hostility he felt in a previous fight turned into an enmity. Sundaran used to carry black tea in a flask every morning while going for work.

On August 10, as usual, he carried black tea in a flask. When he drank it in between work, he felt a difference in taste. He suspected that something was mixed in the tea, so from next day he started carrying tea in a plastic bottle.

On August 14, he also felt difference after drinking the tea. When he poured it into a glass and examined it, he found a colour change. This led to a complaint being filed with the police. During investigation, the police found that poison had been mixed and that Ajay was behind it. The police said that the accused confessed to the crime after being taken into custody and questioned.
