Therefore, Rajeev Chandrasekhar clarified through a Facebook post that he will not watch Empuraan, sequel to Lucifer.
His FB post
I had watched Lucifer and had liked it. When I heard that it was a sequel to Lucifer, I had said that I would watch Empuraan. But now I came to know that the producers of the film themselves have made 17 amendments in the film and it is being censored again. I came to know that there are topics in the film that will disturb Mohanlal fans and other viewers.
A film should be watched as a film. It cannot be seen as history. Any film that distorts the truth is doomed to fail. So, will I watch this sequel to Lucifer? No. Am I disappointed in this kind of filmmaking? Yes.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar had earlier said that he would watch Empuraan. Rajeev's response was before the release. 'Best wishes to the Mohanlal-Prithviraj team. I will also be watching Empuraan in the coming days,' Rajeev Chandrasekhar wrote on Facebook.
