PALAKKAD: BJP state president K Surendran said that the CPM's stand of reaching an agreement with the SDPI in the Erattupetta municipality was dangerous to Kerala. The CPM's decision to form a political alliance with the SDPI, which sent goons to attack the Pala bishop, is a challenge to the Christian people. Surendran told reporters in Palakkad that the protest against the bishop was led by SDPI councilors in Erattupetta.
"The Kerala Congress must react to the CPM's decision to rule the municipality with the help of terrorist forces that threaten the leadership of the Church. The CPM's decision to form a political alliance with SDPI is a challenge to the Christian people. This is a setback for the secularism of Kerala. The ruling party's stance of promoting terrorists will hurt the state. The secular society should react against it," Surendran said.
