ALAPPUZHA: The first NDA meeting after Rajeev Chandrasekhar took charge as the BJP state president will be convened here today. The meeting has been organized in Cherthala at 2 pm. NDA state convener and BDJS president Thushar Vellappally, senior BJP leaders and representatives of constituent parties will attend the meeting. The main agenda of the meeting is to prepare the front for the local body elections.

However, there are complaints from one side that BDJS is not getting enough consideration. Meantime, Rajeev Chandrasekhar will meet leaders of various communities today. He reached NSS headquarters in Perunna at 9 am and met NSS General Secretary Sukumaran Nair. A meeting has been scheduled with SNDP Yogam General Secretary Vellappally Natesan at 12 pm. The meeting has been scheduled at Vellappally's residence in Kanichukulangara.

There are indications that after taking charge as the BJP chief, Rajeev Chandrasekhar is all set to make some crucial changes in the state committee. As part of that Suvarna Prasad, BJP state committee's social media convener was replaced by Yuva Morcha all India secretary Anoop Antony.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar was chosen as the BJP state president after months of speculation. The decision came after the central leadership took a stand that Rajeev's presence was essential to attract the youth of Kerala to the party and increase its influence through social media. He took charge as the party chief on March 24th.
