LDF will get at least one vote more than the majority won by UDF last time; election will be assessment of govt, says Kodiyeri

KOCHI: CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan said that he would not hesitate to say that the Thrikkakara by-election will be the assessment of the government. Kodiyeri said that the UDF would collapse in Thrikkakara and the strongholds of the Congress were collapsing.

‘The Left Front will win by a large majority. The LDF will get at least one vote more than the majority won by the UDF last time. We don’t need the votes of the SDPI or RSS in Thrikkakara. Both are communal parties,’ said Kodiyeri.

'P C George's words are poisonous. Not even the BJP leaders have spoken like George. P C's arrest is not a drama. The government took strong action. The Left Front will not promote communalism. The LDF has no cooperation with the SDPI,’ said Kodiyeri.
