KOCHI: Former Poonjar MLA P C George surrendered soon after the court revoked his bail in the hate speech case. He surrendered at the Palarivattom Police Station. His only response was that following law. BJP activists thronged the station supporting him. PDP activists came shouting slogans against George soon after the court revoked his bail. The BJP workers came supporting him following that.

The court had granted George anticipatory bail earlier in the case registered at the Palarivattom police. Anticipatory bail was granted on the condition that he should not make any public statements. The prosecution had earlier told the court that George had violated the bail conditions and that a case has been registered in Kochi for his hate speech again.

A case was registered against George for his hate speech during a temple festival at Vennala Thykatt Sri Mahadeva Temple on May 8. The case was registered against him for his provocative speech against a religious group.
