People trained in postmodernism from USA tarnishing CPM, says E P Jayarajan

KANNUR: CPM Central Committee member E P Jayarajan said people who were specially trained in postmodernism from an American university are being sent to India to tarnish the CPM. Jayarajan accused America while inaugurating CPM’s Pappinisseri area meet in Kannapuram.

'They are expanding their activities in many areas of the country. As part of that, right-wing forces are carrying out false propaganda in collaboration with the media. A planned attempt is being made to tarnish the party by launching attacks against the leadership. Comrades are unable to recognize this. Many communist parties in the world were ruined by carrying out similar attacks.

The media is being used in a planned manner by giving money. To counter this, activists should be cautious. There can be criticism within the party. But news is being created and spread in the name of pointing out mistakes. Can overcome this crisis only if there is mental unity and harmony among comrades.'

Meantime, local factionalism in the CPM is exploding like never before. The infighting and locking up of state leaders in connection with the Kulasekharam North local conference resulted in the dissolution of the Karunagappally area committee yesterday. In Alappuzha, district panchayat member, also a former Kayamkulam area committee member, quit the party yesterday and joined the BJP, has shocked the party.
