Youth gets Rs 46 lakh hidden in walls while demolishing old house; he couldn't control his happiness, what happened finally was…

MADRID: A youth got Rs 46 lakh while demolishing a wall for the renovation work of his new house, which he bought. The incident happened at Madrid in Spain. Tono Pineiro, a builder, got the money.

The money was stuffed in four cans and hidden in the old wall of the house. Pinero bought the nearly 40-year-old house online. However, Pineiro's happiness did not last long. When he reached the bank with the money, he realized that he had received notes that had been banned 22 years ago. The Bank of Spain stated that the notes received by Pineiro were banned in 2002. Pineiro, however, said the bank gave him around Rs 30 lakh in exchange for the old notes.

It is believed that the money was kept closed in the cans to avoid humidity. Some of the notes have been damaged, but some are safe. Tono said that he will keep some of the cash as a souvenir.
